Those of you who are hooked on surfing or would like to give it a try, there is no better place to begin than Costa Rica. It is an inexpensive trip to Costa Rica and you get a great mix of Spanish and surfing. Practice your Spanish, not necessarily while surfing, but there will be plenty of time to use your Spanish in the excellent accommodations available. When you think of Costa Rica, Spanish and surfing should come to mind.

With year-round surfing available in Costa Rica at reasonable prices, why go anywhere else? Warm water will also be your companion year-round. A Spanish and surfing adventure is made even more enjoyable with people who are acknowledged as the friendliest on earth. A peaceful nation with no crime to speak of is an added bonus. With 700 miles of coastline on both the Pacific ocean and Caribbean you have much to choose from. There is always a surfing tournament happening and you can enter even if you are not at the expert surfing stage yet. These tournaments are the perfect place to mix some Spanish and surfing.

After a full schedule of surfing it will be time to enjoy yourself through other activities. After a gourmet meal you can plan some other activities like a visit to the still active volcano Irazu. Enjoy the nightlife and food in the capital San Jose. White water rafting, snorkeling, bicycling, windsurfing and sailing can all be enjoyed in this paradise of Central America.

Spanish and surfing is a great combination for enjoying an excellent relaxing vacation. If you are a beginner, once you get the knack of surfing, you will continue growing in this sport and become a fan of Spanish and surfing for a long time to come.
